  • Andrea

Shoppe Manager - Head Cheese Monger

    About ME:

I’m from Pittsburgh but have grown to love Jersey over the past 10 years and will defend her to my death. Why cheese? My friends and family have learned to accept that a simple question about brie may turn into a 15-minute dissertation about bloomy rinds. I am endlessly curious about cheese and think the wonderful thing about it is even though it’s thousands of years in the making, methods of making and affiange are always evolving. Cheese feels like magic to me.

    My Favorite Cheese:

I feel like the cheese are my children, so it’s hard to pick a favorite. But, if I had to, it’d be Rush Creek Reserve from Uplands Cheese Company in Wisconsin. This spruce bark wrapped, bloomy-rinded beauty is a true expression of seasonality and terrior. The cheese is only produced only in the fall and is an oozy bomb of bacony, custardy deliciousness.

    Fun Fact:

During prohibition, my family ran a speak-easy and piano bar in the basement of their house. We still have some old sheet music from the bar and when hold it in my hands, I feel very proud to come from a long line of rabble-rousers

    About ME:

I’m from West Orange. My hobbies are game development, traveling, and eating good food.

    My Favorite Cheese:

My favorite cheese is Truffle Gouda, it’s a great combination of a creamy Gouda and black truffle.

    Fun Fact:

I once owned a very rare Yu Gi Oh card.

  • Michael

    Cheese Monger

    About ME:

I'm from North Brunswick. In my free time I enjoy making videos with my friends and tinkering with technology.

    My Favorite Cheese:

I love cheddar, so my favorite cheese would have to be Prairie Breeze from Milton Creamery in Iowa. I can confidently say it is the only cheese I can eat without getting tired of it.

    Fun Fact:

My last name means ‘small boiled dumpling’.

  • Zac

    Cheese Monger

    About ME:

I’m originally from Marshall’s Creek, PA, but I’m currently living in West Orange. Outside of mongering, I like to cook and watch sports.

    My Favorite Cheese:

I have gone through a long list of different favorites, but currently, my favorite cheese is Brabander, a goat gouda from the Netherlands. The Dutch never miss when it comes to cheese and this is no different.

    Fun Fact:

I’m a dual citizen of the U.S. and the Netherlands.
